
Lawyer Fatally Shot in Comas: Children Injured, Police Investigate Possible Revenge Killing
Lima, Peru - A 37-year-old lawyer was fatally shot on the night of Thursday, September 18, in the Comas district of Lima. The incident occurred as she was driving her SUV with her three children. According to initial police reports, two individuals on a motorcycle pursued the vehicle and attacked her at the intersection of Túpac Amaru and Los Incas avenues. The victim sustained gunshots to the head and neck. Following the attack, the SUV lost control and collided with an advertising panel. Her children were injured in the incident and have been transported to a local hospital for treatment. A pet dog, which was also in the vehicle, was found trapped but unharmed. Authorities, including the Criminalistics Police, are investigating the case. Security camera footage from the area is being analyzed to identify the perpetrators. While a revenge killing is currently the primary hypothesis, investigators have stated that other potential motives are not being discounted.
