
Sarajevo Students Learn Secrets of Turkish Cuisine
Sarajevo Hosts Turkish Cooking Workshop: Students Learn Traditional Recipes Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina – A unique cooking workshop took place in Sarajevo as part of the globally celebrated Turkish Cuisine Week, held from May 21st to 27th. The event, a collaboration between the Turkish Embassy and a local hospitality school, provided students with hands-on experience in preparing classic Turkish dishes. The workshop focused on traditional recipes, a central theme of this year's Turkish Cuisine Week. Students were guided by an experienced chef from the Turkish Embassy, gaining practical skills and knowledge. Ajla, one of the participating students, commented, "In Turkish cuisine, I like that the flavors are very specific and interesting. I tried the musaka we're preparing today, and I really like it." The event extended beyond the cooking class, showcasing the richness of Turkish culinary traditions through presentations and tastings. It aimed to promote cultural diversity and understanding. Fatih Kucukince, the chef from the Turkish Embassy, stated, "We are here to introduce them to our cuisine and improve their skills. We have a strong cuisine that caters to both vegans and meat-eaters." The successful workshop highlighted the cultural exchange between Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina, demonstrating the shared appreciation for food and culinary traditions.
