Bank Rakyat's Generous Aidiladha Gift Brings Joy to Cambodian Muslims
Kampot, Cambodia – In a heartwarming display of cross-cultural generosity, Bank Rakyat's "Kembara Qurban Kemboja" initiative recently delivered 45 cows to the Muslim community in Kampot, Cambodia, for the Aidiladha celebration. This act of kindness extended a helping hand to over 20,000 individuals, primarily from underprivileged backgrounds. Zakaria Adam, the headmaster of the Imam As-Syafie Mosque, expressed gratitude, stating, "This is incredibly meaningful for our community, as many rarely get to enjoy fresh meat." Nor Haimee Zakaria, Bank Rakyat's Deputy Chief Executive Officer, added that the 45 cows, funded through the bank's Qurban Savings Account, reached approximately 1000 families. The initiative not only promoted the spirit of Aidiladha but also strengthened ties between Malaysia and the Cambodian Muslim community.
