Substitutes Assume Councilor Roles in Santa Cruz as TED Issues Credentials

Santa Cruz, Bolivia – The Departmental Electoral Tribunal (TED) of Santa Cruz has officially confirmed the transfer of credentials for titular councilor positions to the substitutes, Denisse Guzmán and Andrea Negrete. This decision, announced by TED President María Cristina Claros, means that Silvana Mucarzel and Israel Alcocer will not assume the councilor seats. During a press briefing, President Claros stated that the TED, in a plenary session, reviewed Official Document 760/2025, issued by the Secretary of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal. This document informed the TED that no further appeals are admissible in the procedure, thus confirming the finality of the decision. "We have received this official communication in a plenary session and have made the determination to proceed with the handover, fulfilling our attributions and competencies, of the credentials of titular councilors to Ms. Denisse Guzmán and Ms. Andrea Negrete," Claros explained. She added that the newly credentialed councilors will now follow the internal regulations of the Municipal Council's directive to formally assume their duties.
