Severe Weather Alert: Midwest and South to Face Storms This Week
Midwest to Face Severe Weather This Week: Day-by-Day Forecast Parts of the United States are bracing for severe weather from May 15th to 20th. A meteorologist, using the CSU-MLP model, has outlined a day-by-day forecast showing the storm's progression. "The month of May is arguably the most active month when it comes to severe weather," the meteorologist stated. The initial impact will be felt in the Midwest on Thursday, May 15th, affecting states like Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. By Friday, the area of impact shifts south, impacting Kentucky, Tennessee, and parts of Missouri and Arkansas. Saturday will be calmer, but the risk remains in the South and Southeast. Sunday brings the threat to Oklahoma, Kansas, and parts of Nebraska, Arkansas and Missouri. The storm system moves back east by Tuesday, May 20th, once again affecting the Midwest. The meteorologist cautioned that the further out the forecast, the less precise it becomes. However, they confirmed that atmospheric conditions will be extremely favorable for severe weather over the next week in the affected regions. They urged people in the affected areas to "stay weather aware over the next week."
