California Tween’s Birthday Sleepover Ends With Police Involvement After Mean G…
This California tween's birthday sleepover did not go as planned when her "friends" ruined her gifts while she slept.
A mother in the United States recently shared a harrowing account of a sleepover incident that left her 11-year-old stepdaughter in tears and prompted a police report. The incident, which occurred after the daughter's 11th birthday celebration, involved her friends allegedly vandalizing her new gifts. According to the mother, who posted her story online, her stepdaughter had received various makeup items, including eyeshadow, brushes, concealer, and a new tube of lip gloss. These gifts were reportedly opened in front of the friends who were staying overnight. The following morning, the daughter discovered that her new possessions had been tampered with. "She comes downstairs crying to us because there's foundation or like tinted sunscreen, whatever it is, squirted all inside of one of her shoes and all over a pair of her pajamas," the mother recounted. The vandalism extended to her personal hygiene items, with Windex allegedly put into her toothpaste and setting spray. Furthermore, a brand new tube of lip gloss was reportedly squeezed out entirely. "Mind you, these friends watched her open these presents and knew exactly who they were from, so that also just blows my mind," the mother stated, expressing profound dismay. She questioned the upbringing of "this generation of 10-year-old girls" and confirmed that police were contacted regarding the incident. The full extent of the damage and any subsequent police action remains unclear at this time.
