Zhodino Crime and Traffic Report: May 26 - June 1 Zhodino, Belarus – Local authorities reported a series of incidents between May 26 and June 1, 2025. These included a case of vandalism where an eighth-grader broke a window in a local dormitory, resulting in legal consequences. An extortion case saw an unknown individual extorting 100 rubles from a man via social media under the threat of sharing personal information. A theft of 150 rubles from a stolen wallet was solved using CCTV footage. A significant online fraud case involved a local resident who lost over 72,000 rubles in an attempted car purchase from a seller on Telegram. Traffic police reported 173 traffic violations, 6 accidents, and 6 drivers caught driving without a license. Common violations included illegal parking, failure to yield to pedestrians, improper maneuvering, and transporting children without car seats. Eleven pedestrians were also fined, three of whom were intoxicated. These incidents highlight the importance of community vigilance and responsible behavior.
