105 Foreigners Deported from KLIA in Foiled Illegal Entry Attempt
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – May 31, 2025 – Malaysian authorities successfully thwarted an attempt by 105 foreign nationals to enter the country illegally. The incident occurred at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Thursday. According to the Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS), over 400 individuals from Bangladesh, Pakistan, and India were questioned. "105 of them did not meet the requirements for entry into Malaysia," stated an AKPS representative in a press briefing on Saturday. The individuals attempted to use a transit visa as a cover to enter Malaysia. However, a joint investigation between AKPS and airlines revealed that their onward flights had been canceled. The AKPS spokesperson added, "We will continue to strengthen surveillance at all national entry points to prevent similar incidents." This successful operation highlights the vigilance of Malaysian border authorities in safeguarding national security and upholding immigration laws. The incident underscores the ongoing challenges in managing irregular migration flows globally.
