Record Number of Foreign Nationals Deported from KLIA
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – June 3, 2025 – In a significant development at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), immigration authorities reported the highest single-day deportation of foreign nationals in recent years. A total of 279 individuals from Bangladesh, Pakistan, and India were denied entry and subsequently sent back to their home countries due to non-compliance with entry regulations. "This is the highest daily record of 'Not To Land' cases since the establishment of the KLIA monitoring unit in 2023," stated an AKPS representative. The increased number of deportations reflects a growing trend of illegal entry attempts, particularly during peak travel seasons. Immigration officials are working diligently to strengthen border security and ensure only those who meet the necessary requirements are allowed entry. One deported individual, who wished to remain anonymous, commented on the situation: "I understand the rules, but I feel disappointed that my trip was cut short." The AKPS is committed to its ongoing efforts to maintain secure borders and prevent illegal immigration.
