

Johor's RM1.5 Million Boost for Early Childhood Education
Johor Invests RM1.5 Million in Early Childhood Education Upgrade Johor Bahru, Malaysia – In a significant move to bolster early childhood education, the Johor state government has announced a RM1.5 million allocation for the upgrade of Tabika and Taska Kemajuan Masyarakat (KEMAS) facilities. This investment aims to improve the quality of preschool education across the state. The announcement was made by Johor's Chief Minister, Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, via a Facebook post. He stated, "The state government is committed to providing the best possible education for our youngest citizens." The allocation will be used to improve facilities and curriculum, incorporating elements of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Beyond the RM1.5 million, an additional RM1.8 million has been earmarked for religious programs under the Ikrar and Fardu Ain initiatives. This comprehensive approach underscores the state's commitment to holistic child development. The Chief Minister also highlighted the ongoing construction of three Tunku Mahkota Ismail Youth Centre (TMIYC) facilities in the districts of Kluang, Hutan Bandar, and Pasir Gudang, further expanding access to quality early childhood education. These centers will serve as feeder schools for Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsaan (SRJK) in Johor. This initiative demonstrates Johor's dedication to providing a strong foundation for its future generations. The upgrades to KEMAS facilities, coupled with the expansion of TMIYC centers, promise a brighter future for early childhood education in the state.
