Thirty smart lanes were activated along major expressways to ensure traffic remained smooth. In Kelantan, traffic remained smooth at the state borders with Pahang (Gua Musang and Kuala Lipis) and Terengganu (Jalan Pasir Puteh) as of 9 a.m. "Traffic flow at the Kelantan-Terengganu border crossings is smooth, with vehicle movement as usual," confirmed the Pasir Puteh District Police Chief, Superintendent Zaizul Rizal Zakaria.
