Major Drug Bust in Queensland: 20 Arrested, Luxury Cars Seized
Queensland Police Crack Down on Violent Gang: 20 Arrested in Major Drug Bust A major police operation in Queensland, Australia, has resulted in the arrest of 20 individuals and the seizure of a large quantity of drugs, cash, and luxury vehicles. Operation Whiskey Vogue, launched last September, targeted the Logan-based gang known as KTM, which is linked to extreme violent offending. Raids across several suburbs, including Carindale, Mount Gravatt, Underwood, Forest Lake, and Brisbane City, uncovered significant amounts of methamphetamine, cannabis, and cocaine. Police also seized eight vehicles, four of which were Mercedes-Benz, along with a Range Rover. Large sums of cash were found hidden in various locations, some stashed behind car parts. "Their criminal activities have, without a doubt, exploited our most vulnerable and are linked to extreme violent offending," stated Craig Bowman of the Queensland Police, highlighting the seriousness of the gang's actions. A defense lawyer, Andrew Owens, commented that his client is ready to contest the charges. The arrests mark a significant victory in the fight against organized crime in Queensland. The operation underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to tackle gang violence and protect vulnerable communities.
