Major Brisbane Crime Gang Takedown: 16 Arrested, Drugs, Cash, and Luxury Cars Seized
Brisbane Crime Gang Bust: Sixteen Arrested in Major Drug Raid Sixteen men allegedly linked to a notorious Brisbane organized crime gang, known as KTM, K12, or K-Town, were arrested on Friday in a major drug trafficking operation. Police raided 25 houses across the city, seizing cocaine, methamphetamine, cannabis, a substantial amount of cash, and four Mercedes-Benz vehicles along with a Range Rover. Two methamphetamine labs were also dismantled as part of the year-long investigation, codenamed 'Whiskey Vogue'. "Sixteen alleged members of a notorious Queensland gang have been arrested," reported Rosie Gale of The Courier-Mail in the video. The gang is known for its involvement in the drill rap scene, with music videos featuring members wearing balaclavas and posing with luxury vehicles and wads of cash. Police confirmed that the operation was a significant blow to the gang's activities. In a separate incident in 2022, a senior Comanchero member, Kyle Leofa, was shot in the mouth after approaching a group filming a KTM rap video. While the charges were later dropped due to lack of evidence, this highlights the ongoing tensions within Brisbane's criminal underworld. Those arrested in the latest raids face mandatory seven-year prison sentences if found guilty. The successful conclusion of 'Operation Whiskey Vogue' demonstrates a significant step forward in combating organized crime in Brisbane.
