Viral Sleep Trick: Psychiatrist Reveals Eye Movement Technique to Fall Asleep Fast

**Psychiatrist Shares Viral Eye Movement Trick to Combat Mid-Night Waking** Madrid, Spain – A psychiatrist, known online as Alejandropsiquiatra, has shared a viral technique aimed at helping individuals fall back asleep after waking up in the middle of the night. The method, which involves specific eye movements, is presented as a simple yet effective solution for those struggling with nocturnal awakenings. According to the psychiatrist, common mistakes like checking a phone, looking at the time, or attempting to force sleep often exacerbate wakefulness. Instead, he proposes a technique where individuals, with their eyes closed, move their gaze upwards, then downwards, followed by left, then right, and finally perform circular motions in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions. He explains that this exercise works by redirecting the brain's focus from anxious thoughts to physical sensations. Furthermore, he states that the technique incorporates principles similar to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for the body's rest and digest response, thereby promoting relaxation and sleep.
