KLIA Expands International Reach with New Haikou Flight Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – June 4, 2025 – Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) has significantly expanded its global network with the launch of a new direct flight route to Haikou, China. This four-times-weekly service, operated by Hainan Airlines, marks a key step in Malaysia Airports’ strategy to strengthen its connectivity with China, a crucial market for trade and tourism. According to Dato’ Mohd Izani Ghani, Managing Director of Malaysia Airports, "The introduction of this direct route reflects our focus on strengthening KLIA’s network connectivity, particularly in China." The new route not only provides convenient access for Malaysian travelers to Haikou and Hainan Island but also opens up connections to over 50 cities within China.
