Mother Addresses Daughter's Bullying Over Clothing Brand A mother has recently shared her emotional account of her 11-year-old daughter experiencing bullying at middle school. The bullying reportedly stemmed from the daughter's clothing, specifically items from Walmart's "Justice" brand, which her peers identified and targeted. The mother, who identifies herself as a struggling parent working Instacart to support her family, including four children and an autistic brother, expressed her distress over the situation. "Yesterday we found out that my daughter's been getting bullied at school for her clothes, her backpack, her shoes," the mother stated in a video. She explained the financial strain on her family, noting that her husband was injured, leaving her to manage mortgage and bills. "I did the best I could. I have four kids, I have my autistic brother," she added, highlighting her efforts to provide. In response to the bullying, the mother visited Target, a store she typically cannot afford, to purchase new clothing for her daughter. She leveraged a $10 gift card and a store promotion offering $10 off a $40 kids' apparel purchase. She successfully bought several plain shirts and a pair of jeans, aiming for more "mature" styles to help her daughter fit in. The total cost for these items, after discounts, was $23. She also mentioned plans to buy "Hey Dudes" shoes for her daughter and eventually Birkenstocks, which her daughter desired. The incident underscores the social pressures faced by young students and the lengths parents go to protect their children.
