A former Walmart worker says a Chesterfield, Virginia, location doesn't store its produce correctly. The impact could be devastating.
Chesterfield, VA – A former Walmart employee, identified as dtwtc223, has recently released a video alleging significant food safety violations at Walmart Store #4476 in Hancock Village, Chesterfield, VA. The individual claims to have been wrongfully terminated and states that the video serves to expose practices that could endanger customers. The video, uploaded on September 16, 2025, shows numerous boxes of perishable produce, including items from "Little Leaf Farms" and "Taylor Farms," left unrefrigerated in both the main store area and a backroom produce station. The boxes clearly state "PERISHABLE KEEP REFRIGERATED" with recommended temperatures between 33-40°F (1-5°C). In a critical segment of the video, the employee uses a digital thermometer to measure the internal temperature of a "Sunflower Bacon Crunch" salad kit. The thermometer displays readings of 67-68°F, far exceeding the required refrigerated temperature range of 32-38°F (0-3°C indicated on another box). The employee states, "This food been out all day long... This has been sitting out here all day long." Furthermore, the video depicts the produce station in a state of disarray, with large bags of trash and discarded produce, including partially eaten items like watermelon and papaya, left on carts and surfaces. The employee expressed concern, stating, "They don't care about y'all. For real. This [expletive] is crazy." Walmart has not yet issued a public statement regarding these specific allegations. The claims raise serious questions about the store's adherence to food safety protocols and the potential health risks posed to consumers.
