Consumer Alleges Alani Nutrition Negligence After Finding Foreign Substance in New Energy Drink Toronto, CA – A consumer has publicly accused Alani Nutrition of negligence following the discovery of a foreign, gelatinous substance in a can of their recently released Witch's Brew energy drink. The consumer, identified as Raesha, shared her experience in a video, detailing her attempts to report the potential food safety issue to the company. According to Raesha, she purchased a can of the Alani Witch's Brew on September 6th and subsequently found a "rubbery, gelatinized texture" substance inside. She promptly contacted Alani Nutrition, providing them with all necessary information, including photos of the substance, the product's expiration date, barcode number, and lot number. Raesha stated, "It took the team five days to reply to my email. They did not reply with a solution, and they did not reply to tell me that they will be recalling the batch." She expressed significant frustration when Alani's response requested a photo of the barcode, despite her having already supplied it in her initial communication. "I find this to be rather dismissive," she remarked, highlighting that she had provided all pertinent details. The consumer emphasized the severity of the situation, stating, "This is a potential food safety risk. Not starting the internal investigation when you have all the necessary information provided is negligence." She added, "The fact that the team is aware that they have a potential food safety risk happening in a batch of the brand new Witch's Brew drinks that just hit shelves is extremely negligent on their part." Raesha had requested a reimbursement or replacement for her single can and a recall of the affected batch. She concluded her statement by advising viewers, "Maybe don't buy the Witch's Brew or Alani altogether." Alani Nutrition has not yet publicly responded to these specific allegations.
