'Nothing being done about it': Ex-Juiceland worker says this location in Austin…
An Austin woman just made serious allegations against one of the city’s popular smoothie chains, Juiceland.
Austin Juice Bar Faces Scrutiny Over Alleged Health Violations A former employee of a Juice Land location in Austin, Texas, has publicly accused the establishment of severe unsanitary conditions, including widespread mold, rat, and cockroach infestations. The allegations, detailed in a recent online video, include photographic and video evidence purportedly showing cockroach droppings, a cockroach inside a blender containing powdered ingredients, and a dead cockroach within an ice machine. The former employee, who worked at the "Juice Land in the Domain" location for two years before quitting in July, stated that her "morals" prevented her from continuing to work under such conditions. She claimed that management was repeatedly informed of the escalating pest issues but allegedly dismissed concerns, offering assurances that "they're going to come spray," a solution she described as ineffective. "That shit is clearly not working. It's actually getting worse," she stated, adding that the pests were "mutating." The former worker also raised concerns about financial irregularities, alleging that employees were made to "pay them back for their mistake" when issues arose from the "financial department." She highlighted that a friend's attempt to expose the conditions through Google reviews, complete with pictures, resulted in the comments being deleted. The woman emphasized the potential health risks to customers, stating, "I feel like at least the customers should be able to consent whether they want a fucking roach-contaminated fucking smoothie for $20." The company has not yet issued a public statement regarding these specific allegations.
