PDEA Busts 'Sam Gor' Syndicate, Seizes Over a Ton of Shabu in Luzon Waters
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) announced a major breakthrough in the fight against illegal drugs, identifying the international syndicate known as "Sam Gor" as the source of over a ton of shabu seized in the waters off Luzon. PDEA spokesperson Atty. Joseph Frederick Calulut stated, "Based on the markings found on the recovered packages of shabu, it's consistent with those from the Sam Gor group." This significant seizure, exceeding 1.2 tons of shabu, highlights the scale of the operation. Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson PBGen. Jean Fajardo added, "The Philippines is being used as a transshipment point." The PNP is offering rewards to those who surrender shabu, indicating a broader effort to curb the drug trade. The successful operation underscores the ongoing efforts of Philippine law enforcement to combat international drug syndicates.
