Gerik Drug Bust: RM4.7 Million Worth of Syabu and Ketamine Seized Gerik, Perak, Malaysia – In a significant law enforcement operation, Perak police seized a substantial amount of illicit drugs in Gerik on Friday. A total of 123.1 kilograms of various drugs, including syabu and ketamine, with an estimated street value of RM4.7 million, were discovered inside an abandoned Honda HRV SUV. The vehicle was found locked and unattended near a housing estate. The seizure was the result of information provided by a member of the public. Perak Police Chief, Datuk Noor Hisam Nordin, stated in a press conference, "The drugs were found in 80 packets of what appeared to be syabu and 39 packets of ketamine." He praised the public for their cooperation in the successful operation. The investigation is ongoing under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. This significant drug bust underscores the ongoing efforts of Malaysian law enforcement to combat the illegal drug trade.
