Belarus's Agricultural Exports to Russia Soar in Q1 2025
MINSK, BELARUS – Belarusian exports of food and agricultural products to Russia surged in the first quarter of 2025, marking a significant increase in trade between the two nations. Official data reveals an almost 10% rise compared to the same period last year. "The growth is particularly notable in dairy and meat products," stated Stanislav Yaskevich, an agricultural expert featured in a recent video report. Dairy exports showed a remarkable 17% increase, while meat and meat products saw a 16.5% jump. This substantial increase highlights the strengthening economic ties between Belarus and Russia. The two countries are collaborating on a new initiative: a unified digital platform for animal husbandry. This platform aims to accelerate genetic progress and further boost agricultural output. The initiative underscores the commitment to modernizing the agricultural sector and enhancing food security in both nations. This collaboration is expected to lead to further advancements in agricultural technology and efficiency, benefiting both economies.
