Unos pequeños cambios en el desayuno pueden mejorar la relación con la comida, el rendimiento y la salud
A recent video by nutritionist Luis Rodríguez, known as "Luis Rodríguez | Nutrición" on social media, has shed light on how to navigate breakfast choices when eating out, particularly for those who frequently dine with colleagues. Rodríguez addresses the common issue of feeling "super bloated" and gassy after a typical breakfast out, suggesting that poor food choices are often the culprit. In his video, Rodríguez emphasizes the importance of a balanced breakfast, even when convenience is a factor. "If you're adding all these things [sugar/saccharin] to your coffee, it's because you don't like coffee," he states, advocating for plain coffee, tea, or water instead. For solid food, he recommends opting for whole-grain bread, which he notes is increasingly available in most restaurants. "If they don't have it, white bread is the only other option," he adds, but stresses the importance of including bread for satiety. "If you only order a French omelet, you'll be hungry within an hour and thinking about your next meal all day." Regarding protein, Rodríguez suggests options like "tuna with tomato, a French omelet, or serrano ham." He advises against adding extra fats like butter or bacon, as food is often already cooked with oil or butter. Instead, he recommends adding healthy fats like avocado or cheese if desired. Rodríguez shared his own breakfast order: "I ordered a spelt baguette with a French omelet, and also a 'pitufo' [small baguette] with serrano ham." He also highlighted the importance of fruit, holding up a pear and saying, "Don't forget to include your portion of fruit in breakfast because it will also help you increase satiety." These small changes, he concludes, "can improve your relationship with food, your performance, and your health."
