The raid, conducted on May 26, 2025, resulted in the arrest of 48 individuals: 45 foreign women and three local men. The salons, located in the Kuchai Lama and Bandar Sri Petaling areas of Kuala Lumpur, had been operating for approximately two years. According to Datuk Zakaria Shaaban, the Director General of Immigration, "The women were charging between RM150 and RM250 per service, depending on the customer's request." The video evidence shows the women being apprehended and the cramped living quarters provided for them. The three local men are suspected of acting as keepers of the establishment. The operation involved 38 officers from various ranks of the Immigration Department. The investigation, which spanned two weeks, revealed that the salons had been running for two years before the raid. All those arrested are currently being held for further investigation. This successful raid highlights the ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking and illegal activities in Malaysia.
