Seremban Gas Bust: Five Arrested, 150 LPG Tanks Seized Seremban, Negeri Sembilan – Malaysian authorities have cracked down on illegal gas trafficking, arresting five men and seizing over 150 LPG tanks. The operation, conducted last Friday, targeted a storage facility in Seremban where suspects, aged 28 to 58, were allegedly transferring subsidized gas illegally. Two of the suspects are foreign nationals. "The investigation revealed that the suspects were actively moving subsidized gas into unauthorized tanks during nighttime hours to avoid detection," stated an investigating officer. The officer, who requested anonymity, added that the operation also uncovered equipment used in the illegal transfer along with several questionable business documents. The total value of the seized gas is estimated to exceed RM50,000. The case is currently under investigation under the Supply Control Act 1961. This successful operation underscores the commitment of Malaysian authorities to combat illegal activities and ensure fair distribution of essential goods.
