According to the Malaysian Maritime Zone Mersing Commander, Commander Maritime Suhaizan Saad, the first victim, 15-year-old Nur Awatif Udaimah Mohamad Islam, was discovered by local community members around 4:30 PM. The second victim, 13-year-old Ahmad Uwais Al-Qarni, was found approximately two hours later, around 6:30 PM. "We received information about the incident from the Malaysian Rescue Sub Centre (MRSC) Johor," Commander Saad stated. Following the reports, a swift search and rescue operation was launched, deploying boat assets to the location. The video shows the bodies being retrieved from the water and transported to the jetty.
