Two separate raids targeted smuggling operations at key import points. The first raid, on April 3rd, took place at the North Butterworth Container Terminal. Authorities confiscated 14,000 vape devices and 200 liters of e-liquid, valued at approximately RM1.5 million. A subsequent raid on April 10th at Port Klang resulted in a significantly larger seizure of 71,886 vape devices and 785 liters of e-liquid, totaling RM3.67 million. Three individuals were arrested in connection with the seizures, including a Chinese exporter. This operation highlights the ongoing efforts by Malaysian authorities to combat the illegal trade of vape products and protect public health. The successful seizures demonstrate the effectiveness of targeted enforcement strategies and inter-agency collaboration.
