Gerik Drug Bust: RM4.6 Million Worth of Methamphetamine and Ketamine Seized In a significant operation in Gerik, Perak, Malaysia, police have seized drugs valued at approximately RM4.6 million. The discovery was made near the Taman Pulai Savanna water treatment plant, where an abandoned SUV containing the narcotics was found. The drugs included 82.8 kg of methamphetamine and 43.6 kg of ketamine, according to Perak's Chief of Police, Datuk Seri Nor Hisham. "The raid was conducted based on information received from the public," stated Datuk Seri Nor Hisham. The vehicle's engine number and chassis number had been altered, indicating an attempt to conceal its identity. Police believe the vehicle was abandoned approximately 30 minutes before their arrival, based on the engine's heat. No suspects were apprehended at the scene, but the investigation is underway, and authorities are working to identify and apprehend those responsible under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which carries a mandatory death penalty or life imprisonment.
