Así es como un dispositivo luminoso revolucionará la seguridad vial en Canarias
Una nueva normativa hará obligatoria la baliza V16 desde enero de 2026
Madrid, Spain As of January 1, 2026, a new regulation will make the V16 emergency beacon mandatory for all drivers in Spain. Emergency services professional Miguel ASSAL recently highlighted the importance of these devices, specifically endorsing the LEDONE V16 beacon, which he states meets the upcoming requirements. According to ASSAL, not all V16 beacons are compliant with the new DGT 3.0 connectivity standard. The LEDONE beacon, however, is presented as fully compliant, offering over 200 candelas of light output and guaranteed connectivity until 2041. Its design, featuring a taller profile, is said to ensure maximum visibility for other road users. ASSAL also introduced an additional safety accessory, the LEDONE Arrow, which attaches to the vehicle's window to provide enhanced lateral visibility. This feature is particularly beneficial for tow truck operators, road workers, and any vehicle requiring increased roadside presence. The LEDONE V16 beacon is manufactured in Spain using 100% recycled materials, underscoring a commitment to both safety and environmental responsibility. ASSAL emphasized that while the beacon is crucial, its effectiveness is maximized when used in conjunction with traditional warning triangles, especially in areas with limited visibility such as blind curves or crests. He concluded by stating that choosing the right beacon, combined with common sense, can be a life-saving decision on the road.
