
Manila Cable Thieves Caught on CCTV, Arrested
Three Men Arrested in Manila for Stealing Telephone Cables Manila, Philippines – In a swift operation, Manila police apprehended three individuals caught on CCTV stealing telephone cables in the Sta. Ana district. The incident, which occurred on May 28, 2025, around 2 PM, resulted in the arrest of the suspects and the recovery of a significant amount of stolen cables. CCTV footage played a crucial role in identifying and apprehending the suspects. The video clearly shows two men cutting the cables while a third acted as a lookout. Barangay Chairman Jaime L. Co Jr. of Barangay 776 Sta. Ana, Manila, confirmed the incident and the recovery of the stolen cables. "We were able to recover the stolen cables," he stated. Police estimate the value of the stolen cables at 19,000 pesos. The suspects will face theft charges. Two of the suspects are minors and are currently under the care of the DSWD.
