Heavy Rains Cause Damage and Flooding in Vitebsk Region

Heavy rains caused significant damage in Vitebsk region. The downpour led to the partial destruction of three road sections in the Polotsk district and flooding of two gravel roads near the villages of Zamostye and Burakovo in the Verkhnedvinsky district. In Lepel, four houses were flooded. 'The situation is under control,' said a representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 'but the cleanup will take several days.' Road crews and emergency services are working to restore the damaged infrastructure. Residents affected by the flooding are receiving assistance.
