Santa Cruz Water Cut: Thousands Affected by Planned Maintenance
Santa Cruz Water Outage: Scheduled Maintenance Causes Citywide Disruption Santa Cruz, Bolivia – Residents of Santa Cruz faced a planned water outage from 7 PM on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, to 6 AM on Thursday, June 5th, 2025. The interruption, announced by the water company, Saguapac, was necessary for scheduled maintenance work. According to Fernando Suarez, spokesperson for Saguapac, the outage impacted several areas of the city, including the Northeast station. "We are initiating the shutdown of the pumps at the Northeast station," Suarez stated in an interview featured in the Red Uno report. The video shows crews working at various locations throughout the city. Suarez also noted that water pressure would decrease in several zones before the complete service interruption. He urged residents to use water responsibly during this period. Areas outside the fourth ring road, such as Urubó and Satellite Norte, were not affected. The planned nature of the outage and the clear communication from Saguapac minimized potential disruption. The water service resumed as scheduled at 6 AM Thursday morning.
