A recent incident has left a Vinted seller, known as Sarah, in a state of bewilderment after a parcel she sent to a buyer was inexplicably returned to her, despite the buyer having confirmed receipt and left positive feedback. The unusual event has sparked discussion online, with many users expressing their own theories about the bizarre postal anomaly. The item in question is an embroidered picture of a horse, which Sarah's daughter had purchased from a charity shop. "The parcel's creepy anyway," Sarah stated in her video, noting that the picture had a peculiar inscription on the back: "Sarah McElliot, age 14 years, 1981." According to Sarah, her daughter listed the item on Vinted, and it was successfully sold. The buyer reportedly confirmed receiving the parcel and even left positive feedback, leading to the money being transferred to Sarah. However, to her astonishment, the very same parcel was delivered back to her, not at her current address, but to her ex-mother-in-law's house. "It's got my address on the front, right, but it didn't get delivered to my address, it got delivered to my ex-mother-in-law's house," she explained, highlighting the perplexing nature of the delivery. Upon receiving the returned parcel, Sarah carefully unboxed it on camera, confirming it was indeed the original item, still meticulously wrapped as she had sent it. "This is 100% exactly what I packaged," she affirmed, showing the intact bubble wrap. The incident has led Sarah to question if she is "cursed," a sentiment echoed by some online commenters. Her daughter even suggested a more modern explanation: "What if the person who bought it follows you on TikTok, they've put a camera in it and sent it back?" Sarah recounted. The Vinted platform has experienced glitches before, as one commenter pointed out: "Vinted has glitches, even though the buyer never gets it and Vinted marks it as accepted, and gives an auto review sadly, happened to me a couple of times as a buyer." Another user shared a similar experience, stating, "This happened to me TWICE with the same pair of shoes!! two totally different sales to two different people and came back each time after the sale was completed!!! I kept them myself and broke my ankle while wearing them!!!" The mystery of the returning parcel, combined with the eerie inscription on the horse picture, continues to intrigue and puzzle Sarah and her online audience.
