

70kg Cannabis Seizure Leads to Arrest of Drug Trafficker in Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – June 1, 2025: Malaysian authorities announced the arrest of a 44-year-old drug trafficker in Taman Melawati, Kuala Lumpur. Police seized 70 kilograms of cannabis and a Ducati motorcycle during the raid. "The suspect is believed to have been active since last November and has two prior convictions," stated Salahuddin Chik Ali, the Acting Director of the Bukit Aman Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department. The drugs, valued at RM245,957, were allegedly being prepared for distribution in the Klang Valley. The suspect, who tested negative for drugs, is currently under remand for seven days to facilitate the investigation under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
