Perlis Drug Bust: 365kg of Syabu Seized, Suspect Arrested PADANG BESAR, PERLIS – Malaysian authorities made a significant drug bust in Perlis, seizing 365 kilograms of syabu, a highly addictive form of methamphetamine, with an estimated street value exceeding RM13 million. A 40-year-old local man was arrested in connection with the seizure and is believed to have been transporting the drugs. "The suspect was apprehended following an investigation into a vehicle in Padang Besar," stated Datuk Muhammad Abdul Halim, Perlis Police Chief, during a press conference. He added that the suspect tested positive for methamphetamine use and has a history of drug-related offenses. The suspect is being remanded for seven days to assist with the investigation. The successful operation highlights the ongoing efforts of Malaysian law enforcement in combating drug trafficking within the country.
