Austral, NSW Police Crack Down on Stolen Car Ring, Uncover Weapons and Drugs Austral, NSW – In a coordinated effort, Taskforce Falcon officers conducted a raid on a property in Austral, resulting in the arrest of three men and the recovery of multiple stolen vehicles. The operation, which took place on June 5th, 2025, followed a detailed investigation into a series of car thefts reported between May 25th and 28th. "The arrests are a significant blow to those involved in vehicle theft in the area," stated a spokesperson for NSW Police. The police operation not only recovered the stolen cars but also uncovered a cache of illegal weapons and drugs. A 37-year-old man was taken into custody and charged with two counts relating to suspected stolen property. Two other suspects, aged 52 and 41, were arrested and charged with various firearm and drug possession offenses. During the property search, officers seized four gel blasters modified to resemble semi-automatic pistols, along with a revolver. A hydroponic system cultivating six cannabis plants was also discovered.
