Arajet Launches New Santo Domingo-San Juan Route: Minister Collado and Arajet CEO Celebrate Inaugural Flight Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – Arajet, the Dominican airline, marked a significant milestone on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, with the launch of its new direct flight route between Santo Domingo and San Juan, Puerto Rico. The inaugural flight, which departed from Las Américas International Airport at 12:20 pm, arrived at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan 40 minutes later. The event was attended by Dominican Minister of Tourism David Collado and Arajet's CEO and founder, Víctor Pacheco. Both officials were seen celebrating the occasion by waving the Dominican and Puerto Rican flags from the cockpit window of the inaugural flight. "This is a momentous occasion for both countries," stated Minister Collado, highlighting the strengthening of commercial ties and the improved connectivity for the Dominican diaspora in Puerto Rico. The new route will operate four times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Beginning June 6th, Arajet will also add a direct flight connecting San Juan and Punta Cana three times a week, on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. This expansion significantly enhances travel options between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, furthering economic relationships and facilitating connections for the large Dominican community residing in Puerto Rico. The launch of this new route underscores Arajet's commitment to expanding its network across the Americas. With this addition, Arajet now serves 28 destinations, solidifying its position as a major player in the regional aviation industry.
