"The suspect's actions were quite brazen," stated Superintendent Jimmy Panyaun, Deputy Police Chief of Lahad Datu. "He attempted to take advantage of vulnerable accident victims." Investigations revealed the suspect had a history of criminal activity. He was apprehended by officers from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Lahad Datu District Police Headquarters. The suspect is currently being held under Section 420 of the Penal Code and further investigations are underway.
