SAGUAPAC Successfully Upgrades Water System, Restores Service
SAGUAPAC Restores Water Service After Planned Outage in Northern Bolivia La Paz, Bolivia - Residents of northern La Paz breathed a sigh of relief last night as SAGUAPAC, the city's water utility, successfully completed a planned water service interruption. The outage, which began earlier in the day, was necessary to allow for crucial infrastructure upgrades. The work involved installing new sectorization valves designed to enhance water distribution and system control throughout the city. Fernando Suarez, SAGUAPAC spokesperson, spoke to Red Uno about the operation. "The objective of this work is the sectorization of the service," Suarez explained. "We are dividing the city into six large macro-zones, and this allowed us to work with low pressure, avoiding a complete service disruption in the north." Suarez highlighted the importance of public cooperation during the outage, stating, "We are grateful for the support and cooperation we received." The successful completion of the work is a positive step towards improving the efficiency and reliability of La Paz's water supply system.
