
Hunter Mistakenly Kills Friend in Tragic Malaysian Hunting Accident
A hunting trip in the Dalat region of Malaysia took a tragic turn on Monday when a 57-year-old man was accidentally shot and killed by a friend who mistook him for a wild boar. The incident occurred around 5:15 PM in a palm oil plantation along Jalan Oyak. According to Dalat District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Sagar Chunggat, "Thirteen men were hunting when the suspect, mistaking the victim for a wild boar, fired his homemade gun." The victim was transported to Mukah Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The suspect is currently in remand at the Dalat Police Station to assist in the investigation. This unfortunate incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of safety and caution when engaging in hunting activities. The police are urging hunters to take all necessary precautions to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
