Ghana Boosts Mobile Data: MTN Bundle Gets Massive Upgrade

Ghana's Minister for Communications, Hon. Sam George, announced a significant development in the country's telecommunications sector. In a recent press conference, he revealed the reintroduction of MTN's GHC399 data bundle, which will now offer an increased 214 GB of data, a substantial upgrade from its previous 92 GB. This change, effective July 1st, 2025, is a direct result of negotiations with telecom CEOs. "This increase is a result of our engagement with the CEOs," stated Hon. George. Similar increases were also announced for AirtelTigo and 8T networks. The minister emphasized the government's commitment to fair pricing and consumer protection, highlighting the implementation of a billing verification system to ensure accuracy and transparency.
